Handling of cases according to incident location

In materials about the policy and the policy itself, highlight information about what happens in the instance of a sexual assault 1) off campus 2) in a virtual environment 3) when the respondent is not a member of the university community.

Questions about what happens in each situation referenced by this recommendation arose during focus groups. We suggest highlighting information as to whether each of these circumstances can be investigated by the university and, where a circumstance cannot be investigated by the university, what alternative reporting routes are available (i.e., the criminal justice system) as well as what university supports are nonetheless available (e.g., counselling services).
