Be open-minded about the rest of the world

I would advise them [university staff who work with SV/SA policies] to be more considerate of other cultures and their traditions. Like, some things that happen here, we may not think that it’s inappropriate, but we should be more open-minded that there are different traditions around the world and that not everybody has the same rules. So definitely be open-minded about the rest of the world and the cultures that we are exposed to at school.

Recommendations

  • Engage in activities to develop cultural responsiveness as it pertains to sexual violence prevention and response. Apply culturally responsive practices in these areas.
