Canada is one of the safest places

My parents let me come here because, to be honest, Canada is one of the safest places, most worth[while] places to live for a reason. There is a reason for it; and one of the reasons is that it's policy is very well thought and well cared for. It's not only for citizens, but the ones who reside in Canada, who currently reside in Canada, too. So my parent, if they know about this policy, they will say, "Yes, we'll be much better than, specifically, Vietnamese policy about sexual assault." And they just gonna tell me that I should completely adhere to it as much as I can.

Recommendations

  • Develop a one-page document for parents/guardians of students that highlights key policy points and links to sexual assault resources and supports available in Canada.

  • Deliver accessible education about Canadian sexual assault laws, including how they work, and the ways they tend to fail survivors in practice.

  • Ensure the policy is prominently situated and easy to locate on the university website.
