I was told if I reported I would lose my degree

I went to somebody who was a former professor of mine, who told me that if I reported, I would lose my degree, and I'd get kicked out. I felt swayed from coming forward and didn't do anything. I would have liked somebody to say, "Here are your options, internally and externally and here are some resources."

Recommendations

  • Provide long-term support to victims/survivors through university services and/or through referals to external community-based agencies.

  • Provide services through the university itself and/or external services that meet the religious or spiritual needs of the victim/survivor and/or respondent.
