It puts parents at ease

When I first went to CBU, I moved away, and I know my mom [...] was always like, "Don't walk in the dark," like - so I know she was happy for the safe walk program. Like, obviously she was scared. Like, your 18-year-old daughter moving to a university campus. So, I think it kind of puts parents at ease when they send their kids off to college, knowing there is a program in place.

Recommendations

  • Promote SANE nurses as supporters for victims/survivors. Ideally, this would happen in the context of a formal partnership with SANE nurses, which includes 24/7 availability of SANE nurse services on campus.
