Latin American Female

The first two years

The policy is very relevant, because it has been shown that the university, mostly during the first two years, is where/when a lot of people go through sexual violence. [...] So, I feel like it is important to have policies where it’s easy for someone to be like, "These are the things that I can do in case it happens to me," or the predator could be like, "right, it is not a very good idea to be doing something like this."

Recommendations

  • Ensure the policy is prominently situated and easy to locate on the university website.

  • Use multiple formats to deliver accessible education about the SV/SA policy during orientation and at least once per semester
