Miyuki Kato

Facilitator Research Assistant

Miyuki Kato is a M.A. student in the Department of International Development Studies at Saint Mary’s University. She received her B.A. in International and Area Studies from Tokyo University of Foreign Studies (Japan). Her passion for sexual violence prevention led her to take part in the CAPSAP project as a research assistant and transcriptionist. Her main roles were recruitment as well as facilitation of a focus group with female identified students from East and Southeast Asia.

Her research interests include: poverty and inequality; human rights; social policy; gender and development; sexual and gender-based violence; sexual and reproductive health; migration and forced displacement; Southeast and South Asia.
