How would you solve it? Like, I know you can get counselling and medical services, but like, how do you say that the people who did the violence are [unclear]. Like, do you do anything to the person who did it? Or is it just counselling and medical services?

Recommendations

  • Describe possible legal and institutional consequences for respondents found to have engaged in sexual violence. Provide indication of the range of consequences likely to follow a range of policy violations.

  • Use multiple formats to deliver accessible education about the SV/SA policy during orientation and at least once per semester

  • Provide detail and clarity about what happens, and who helps the students involved, at every stage of the process following a disclosure or report.
