On-the-spot action is required

The university should take on-the-spot action. There was [...] an incident here which happened four months back. The [unclear] rumoring around. [...]. There wasn’t any strict action taken, or any measures taken against him. But I feel like on-the-spot action is required in these cases.

Recommendations

  • Describe possible legal and institutional consequences for respondents found to have engaged in sexual violence. Provide indication of the range of consequences likely to follow a range of policy violations.

  • Within the policy and educational materials, provide information about possible timeframes for the completion of an investigation into a report of sexual assault. Deliver regular, scheduled updates on investigations to complainants and respondents. Such updates should be integrated into the policy.
