People reporting violence for revenge

I am sure that there are lot of people reporting, but I also feel like some cases were along the lines of people reporting violence for revenge against someone. Like, how is that treated? How is the investigation initiated when those kind of reports are made? You know, when something has not happened but this particular person decides to take some action against them?

Recommendations

  • Address concern around wrongful accusations while developing new policies or training materials.

  • Address respondent rights and supports available to respondents in each of the following circumstances: 1) the investigation into the complaint is ongoing 2) the investigation concludes that the respondent has violated the policy, or 3) the investigation does not conclude that the respondent has violated the policy.
