Under their collective agrement it’s erased from their record

Participant 1: What kind of records are kept for each case?
Participant 2: That was an issue I had in my case - faculty, regardless of how serious the act, at the end of the disciplinary period- let's say it was education and they remained at the university - under their collective agreement, I think it's after two years or three years, it's erased from their record. So, if they do something again, you can't bring up, "oh yeah, by the way, they did this seven years ago too."
Participant 1: That's ridiculous.

  • Describe possible legal and institutional consequences for respondents found to have engaged in sexual violence. Provide indication of the range of consequences likely to follow a range of policy violations.
