How long until the survivor feels safe?
My question is, how long it would take in the investigation until the survivor feels completely safe? Because the survivor would be so scared to even go to the campus because the person [the victim/survivor] might see the person [the offender].

If no such statement exists, encourage development of an official statement prohibiting and clearly outlining consequences for retaliation against complainants. Highlight this statement in information and awareness materials and sessions.

Describe possible legal and institutional consequences for respondents found to have engaged in sexual violence. Provide indication of the range of consequences likely to follow a range of policy violations.

Within the policy and educational materials, provide information about possible timeframes for the completion of an investigation into a report of sexual assault. Deliver regular, scheduled updates on investigations to complainants and respondents. Such updates should be integrated into the policy.

Offer fictionalized but representative examples of how disclosures and reports to the university have been handled.

Identify potential interim measures, provide an indication of how these measures are selected and implemented and establish a reasonable timeframe for implementation.
